Our Little Artist

These are a few pictures from Lorin at school today. What is most hilarious about them to me is that all the other kids hardly have any paint on them at all (I decided not to post the entire classes photos). They neatly placed their hands on the paper and scribbled with the paint. Lorin on the other hand was not only messy, but she also decided to taste the paint. (It's non-toxic of course!) We love Privette School and Lorin's teachers!

She is really concentrating. I think she is painting a family portrait!

Lorin and sweet Savannah!

I hope she is not trying to steal ideas from Savannah's work. We don't need a little cheater on our hands!!!

I'm not sure she liked the taste of the green paint (maybe the red would have tasted better)

9 Month Checkup

Lorin's 9 month checkup went great. She weighed 25lbs (95%) and was 29 inches in length (97%). We were definitely concerned about her weight, but Dr. Smith said everything was perfect, and that she was just that kind of baby we love to squeeze! Dr. Smith also commented that she definitely had the thighs to support her when she does start walking. Ha ha! She can now start eating some table food, so I guess that means I need to start cooking dinner.

Here is our 25 pounder. Notice she has cleared the coffee table. That is her new favorite pasttime!

Halloween 2009

We had a wonderful Halloween weekend (other than Lorin having an ear infection on Saturday!). On Friday night we had a pumpkin carving party with the Manloves! Lorin just loves Uncle Chad and Aunt Jana. Saturday our trick or treating was cut short because of the slight ear infection, so we went back to the Manloves for Lorin to trick or treat and help them hand out candy to all their neighborhood kids!

Can you guess who carved which pumpkin? (From left to right Jana, Travis, Chad and Leslie)

Lorin shed the costume after a while. She enjoyed helping Chad and Jana hand out candy!

Trick or Treat!

The real costume has this lovely hat, but Lorin wasn't a fan so we opted for the cute black bow!

Chad gave Lorin her first piece of candy. She wasn't sure what to think about that.

October 2009

October has been a big month for Lorin. She started crawling, and boy has it changed our life! We learned real quick that our house was not baby proof. We have had a wonderful month and here are some pictures from our great memories!

Lorin's First Millsaps Football Game

She absolutely loves the jumper. She practices so hard every night to jump higher and higher!! I think she might be a little competitive.

First bath in the kitchen sink!

The Mississippi State Fair. It was freezing!!

We had so much fun with Jen and sweet Vivi!

Those fat cheeks are so much fun to kiss.

Now that she is crawling, she gets into everything!

Lorin loves to sit on her daddy's shoulders and pull his hair!
