First Trip to the Zoo

We took Lorin to the Zoo on Sunday, September 27. She had a blast and we did too! It was a little warmer than we were expecting, but Lorin was a trooper and took the heat like a champ.

I was shocked out how good this picture turned out. The flamingos were hiding behind some brush, but I was able to zoom and get a decent pic.

Meme and Paw were really studying those elephants. Lorin and Travis were just looking for some shade.

Sorry! I know this picture is inappropriate, but I couldn't help myself. You wouldn't believe how much came out. #2 was next, but unfortunately I missed that picture moment. Travis was very disappointed that I missed it.

We couldn't believe they had a baby chimp! It was adorable.

Our Little Piano Player

It looks like Meme might get her piano player after all. Amy and I both took piano lessons for years, but neither of us were very good. (Amy was much better than me, even though I took lessons for much longer!!!) I am apparently NOT musically inclined. Meme always wanted us to play the piano, and so it appears that if you start them young enough then maybe just maybe it will turn out more successful than the first generation!

Summer 2009

I am so behind on the blog, but I had to post some pictures of Lorin from this summer. She had a very eventful and fun summer. She spent her summer doing lots of new things like riding a horse and going to the Neshoba County Fair! Hope you enjoy a brief recap of our Summer 2009!

6th Month Doctor's Appointment

Lorin had her 6 month appointment today. Everything went well, and surprisingly she did not scream that bad when she got her shots. She weighs 21lbs. 2 ounces and is 26 1/4 inches long. We are back on the charts in both categories!! 97th percentile in weight and 75th percentile in height. Here are a few pictures after church yesterday. It was such a beautiful day outside!

Lorin's 6 Month Birthday!

July 4th

We went to the fair cabin in Philadelphia this year for the 4th of July. We were all planning to meet there and clean up for the Neshoba County Fair which starts in 3 weeks. Well everyone had most everything finished when we got there, so Lorin was just able to play with her cousins. We went down to the midway where they had a huge homemade water slide on the big hill. Mary Chandler had a blast going down it. Unfortunately the batteries in my camera died so I didn't get any pictures.
