Halloween 2009

We had a wonderful Halloween weekend (other than Lorin having an ear infection on Saturday!). On Friday night we had a pumpkin carving party with the Manloves! Lorin just loves Uncle Chad and Aunt Jana. Saturday our trick or treating was cut short because of the slight ear infection, so we went back to the Manloves for Lorin to trick or treat and help them hand out candy to all their neighborhood kids!

Can you guess who carved which pumpkin? (From left to right Jana, Travis, Chad and Leslie)

Lorin shed the costume after a while. She enjoyed helping Chad and Jana hand out candy!

Trick or Treat!

The real costume has this lovely hat, but Lorin wasn't a fan so we opted for the cute black bow!

Chad gave Lorin her first piece of candy. She wasn't sure what to think about that.

October 2009

October has been a big month for Lorin. She started crawling, and boy has it changed our life! We learned real quick that our house was not baby proof. We have had a wonderful month and here are some pictures from our great memories!

Lorin's First Millsaps Football Game

She absolutely loves the jumper. She practices so hard every night to jump higher and higher!! I think she might be a little competitive.

First bath in the kitchen sink!

The Mississippi State Fair. It was freezing!!

We had so much fun with Jen and sweet Vivi!

Those fat cheeks are so much fun to kiss.

Now that she is crawling, she gets into everything!

Lorin loves to sit on her daddy's shoulders and pull his hair!

Peek a Boo

This is a picture from Lorin at day care a few weeks ago. Apparently she was playing peek a boo with herself and her shirt. At least that is what we hope she was doing! We have noticed lately that she sure does smile big for the new little boys in her class.

New Shoes

Now that it is getting cooler, we had to finally go buy Lorin some shoes of her own (She has been going barefoot all summer!). We made the trip to Stride Rite on Saturday. Wow, I did not realize shoe shopping for an infant could be such an ordeal. The place was packed, but we were able to find her some cute Sunday shoes!

First Trip to the Zoo

We took Lorin to the Zoo on Sunday, September 27. She had a blast and we did too! It was a little warmer than we were expecting, but Lorin was a trooper and took the heat like a champ.

She was ready to go!
I think she actually noticed the giraffes.

Starting to get a little hot. Thank goodness we had some cool apple juice!

I was shocked out how good this picture turned out. The flamingos were hiding behind some brush, but I was able to zoom and get a decent pic.
Meme and Paw were really studying those elephants. Lorin and Travis were just looking for some shade.

Sorry! I know this picture is inappropriate, but I couldn't help myself. You wouldn't believe how much came out. #2 was next, but unfortunately I missed that picture moment. Travis was very disappointed that I missed it.

We couldn't believe they had a baby chimp! It was adorable.

They posed for a family picture.

By the end of the day she was pooped!

Our Little Piano Player

It looks like Meme might get her piano player after all. Amy and I both took piano lessons for years, but neither of us were very good. (Amy was much better than me, even though I took lessons for much longer!!!) I am apparently NOT musically inclined. Meme always wanted us to play the piano, and so it appears that if you start them young enough then maybe just maybe it will turn out more successful than the first generation!

She was really feeling this piece.
